Equipment

• All you need for VatiCan is one smartphone (and some drinks of course). You may need a bottle to use as a spinner.
• VatiCan app

Setup

For the Heaven and Hell game modes all you need is your Phone and a group of friends; but the new game-mode Purgatory is played via group calls like Zoom, Google Hangouts, or Houseparty.

You don't need to submit names or anything like that, people can come and go as they please.

Rules

The group of players forms a loose circle. When a player reads their card aloud, the group must follow the instructions. Once the card has been completed, pass the phone to the person to your left.

CARD TYPE EXPLANATIONS

• Decree: These are usually tasks that are done by the person who pulls the card.
  E.g. "Face away from the group until your next turn. 2 Drinks for every infraction", "Cardholder must be slapped on the ass by all the players in the room"
• Judgement: These are group-wide cards that involve voting as a group to decide who the card best applies to
  E.g. "Who would win in a fight? Spinner picks two people. Group votes, and the loser has to finish their drink", "Group decides the person with the worst taste in music. They can give out 3 drinks"
• Commandment: These are group wide tasks, often lasting until the round is over (when the phone is passed back to the reader, or the next Commandment is drawn)
  E.g. "Everyone must prove themselves in a test of strength. The winner gives out 10 drinks ", "No eye contact until the next Commandment card. 2 Drinks penalty if you sin"
• Confession: These are group wide cards, everyone who the card applies to must drink.
  E.g. "The tallest person can't use their hands to drink for 10 minutes ", "Whoever started drinking latest today. Finish your drink", "If you have ever befouled a taxi. Drink 3 times"
